Carlsberg Station / 2016

At Gottlieb Paludan Architects I have taken part in the project process from idea and project development to technical planning and design with a special focus on the square and the connections to the surrounding city.

Carlsberg has moved their production of beers out of Copenhagen, which has made it possible to transform a big area in the center of the city into a new mix used area. One of the projects in the transformation is to create a new train station which is going to be called Carlsberg Station, and while working at Gottlieb Paludan Architects I have taken part in the design of the station.

The platform is located below street level and to provide access between the levels two slaps are created from where it is possible to get up and down via stairs, escalators and a lift. On street level the project establish a new square which will be one of the main entrances to the new city, Carlsberg Byen.
